Tulsa, OK – Tulsa Police Department officers arrested a woman following an incident in which a man was struck by a vehicle at an apartment complex on April 23.

According to police, officers responded around 6 p.m. to Bradford Apartments near 32nd Street North and North Garrison Avenue after reports of a person being hit by a car.

Investigators said 22-year-old Iyonna Alexander struck the victim with her vehicle and left the scene. Officers later determined that Alexander had been involved in a dispute with a romantic partner and had been asked to leave the residence along with the victim.

Police said Alexander then drove through the apartment complex before driving onto a grassy area, where she struck one of her partners.

The victim was reportedly thrown onto the vehicle’s windshield before falling to the ground. He was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers located Alexander nearby driving a vehicle with significant windshield damage and conducted a traffic stop. She was taken into custody without incident.

Alexander was arrested on charges of assault and battery with a deadly weapon and leaving the scene of an injury collision.

Authorities noted the arrest does not indicate a conviction, and the investigation remains ongoing.
