Tulsa, OK – Tulsa police officers visited Marquette Early Childhood to help preschool students learn important safety habits and become more familiar with law enforcement.
Capt. Hardaway and Officer Kepler of the Tulsa Police Department’s Riverside Division spoke with the children about several basic safety topics, including the importance of wearing seatbelts, recognizing trusted adults and knowing how to respond during an emergency.
The students also had the opportunity to get a close look at a Tulsa Police patrol car and learn more about the equipment officers use during their daily work.
The visit was designed to introduce children to safety concepts at an early age while helping them become more comfortable around police officers and emergency situations.
The Tulsa Police Department thanked Marquette Early Childhood for welcoming the officers and providing an opportunity to help students develop safe habits.
