Tulsa, OK – The Tulsa Police Department in Oklahoma recently took part in a community donation and safety event held at Old Navy, supporting the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
According to the department, members of its Se-ual Predator Investigations/Digital Evidence Recovery (SPIDER) Unit attended the event alongside Electronic Storage Detection K-9 Ripley, as well as personnel from Tulsa Fire and EMSA.
Officials said NCMEC works to help prevent child abductions, recover missing children, and combat child exploitation and victimization.
During the event, shoppers had the opportunity to meet K-9 Ripley and learn online safety tips aimed at helping protect children from digital threats.
The department said the outreach effort focused on community education and engagement.
Police officials added that they value opportunities to work with local partners and community members to share safety information and support child protection initiatives.
