Tulsa, OK – The Tulsa Fire Department announced that Lt. Ryan Garrett will be promoted to captain, marking a new milestone in his career with the department.

On Tuesday morning, Chief Kaiser and Capt. Stika presented Garrett with his red helmet, captain’s bugles, and badge during a ceremony at Station 23 in recognition of his upcoming promotion.

Garrett is scheduled to officially assume the rank of captain on Monday, July 13. He will serve as the Extra Captain for District 3 and will be assigned to Engine 18.

According to the Tulsa Fire Department, its promotional process is one of the most challenging and competitive in the profession, requiring extensive studying, training, preparation, and a strong commitment to serving both the department and the community.

The department said Garrett’s promotion reflects his hard work, dedication, and leadership, and congratulated him on the achievement while wishing him continued success in his new role.
