Tulsa, OK – A 23-year-old Tulsa woman has been charged with manslaughter and other offenses in connection with a June car crash that claimed the life of a 5-year-old boy.

On the evening of June 3, 2025, around 7:40 p.m., Tulsa Police responded to a head-on collision near 4600 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Officers arrived to find that a young child had suffered critical injuries. The boy, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, was transported to a hospital, where he died from his injuries two days later.

Following a comprehensive investigation by the Gilcrease Division Traffic Unit, police determined that Cierra Galloway was driving a Chevy Malibu at high speed on wet roads when she crossed the center line and collided head-on with a Chevy Cruze. Galloway was the only person in her vehicle. The Cruze was carrying a mother and her 5-year-old son.

Both women were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. A blood test conducted on Galloway at the hospital revealed a blood alcohol concentration of .18, more than twice the legal limit.

After reviewing the case, the Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office filed formal charges against Galloway on July 22. She faces counts of first-degree manslaughter, aggravated driving under the influence, and reckless driving.

Galloway turned herself in Tuesday evening and is currently in custody at the Tulsa County Jail.

Police emphasized that the charges represent an arrest and not a conviction.
