Repeat arsonist sentenced to 14 years in prison after multiple downtown Tulsa fires, including church and car incidents

Tulsa, OK – Lonnie Craig Fox, a repeat arson offender, was sentenced to 14 years in prison following his 2025 arrest for multiple arson incidents in downtown Tulsa.

Tulsa Fire Department Arson Investigators, with assistance from the Tulsa Police Department and TFD Engine 4, linked Fox to a car fire near 200 S. Boulder and a fire at First Presbyterian Church on August 6, 2025. Surveillance footage and thorough investigative work led to his swift arrest and successful prosecution.

Fox had previously been convicted of setting multiple fires inside LaFortune Tower apartments in 2016.

TFD noted that arson investigators often work quietly behind the scenes, but their dedication and expertise help protect lives, property, and the entire Tulsa community. Removing this repeat offender from the streets contributes to a safer environment for residents.

Authorities urged anyone who sees suspicious activity or attempts to start a fire to call 911 immediately and encouraged anyone with information about past arson-related incidents to contact Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
