Tulsa, OK – The Tulsa Police Department has recognized Detective Aubrey Williams as the 2026 Police Officer of the Year, an honor presented by the Rotary Club of Tulsa during the Above and Beyond Awards Ceremony.
Officials said Williams received the award for her work with the department’s Sexual Predator Investigation and Digital Evidence Recovery Unit (SPIDER), where she has spent the past two years investigating individuals who exploit children online.
According to the department, Williams has served with the Tulsa Police Department for six years and later became the handler for an electronic device detection K-9. Through extensive training and certification, she and her K-9 partner Ripley now assist in locating hidden electronic devices containing critical digital evidence.
Police officials said Williams and Ripley also regularly participate in community outreach, teaching online safety and prevention strategies to children and families.
Tulsa Fire Department Firefighter Frankie Young was also recognized during the ceremony as the 2026 Firefighter of the Year. Chief Larsen of the Tulsa Police Department and Fire Chief Baker were among those who spoke at the event.
The Rotary Club of Tulsa’s award includes a $7,500 donation to be distributed to organizations selected by the recipient. Officials said $3,500 will go to the Tulsa Child Advocacy Network and $4,000 will support The Hope Center Indy, Inc.’s K-9 training program.
The department congratulated all award recipients and highlighted the importance of community service and specialized law enforcement work.
