Tulsa, OK – On February 25, 2025, around 11:30 p.m., Tulsa police responded to an injury crash near 59th and S. Lewis by QuikTrip. Witnesses reported a silver SUV driving southbound on Lewis before entering the QuikTrip parking lot, driving through the grass, and crashing into an unoccupied Dodge Charger. The vehicle continued, hitting the side of the building, traveling down the sidewalk, destroying a trash can, and finally stopping on 61st after striking the median.

Officers found the driver, Sapphire Porter, on the scene with her two young children, who were in the vehicle during the incident. Porter displayed signs of intoxication and failed the Standard Field Sobriety Tests. She was arrested and charged with:
– DUI 2nd Offense
– Child Endangerment AFCF (After Former Conviction of a Felony), 2 Counts
– Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident
– Driving Under a Suspended License
– No Insurance
– Expired Tag
– Child Restraint Violations, 2 Counts

A family member took custody of the children, who were not injured. Tulsa police urge drivers not to drive while intoxicated, emphasizing the dangers it poses, especially to children.
